Beauty Haul

I've been wanting to find a Tinted Moisturiser for the Summer for ages now and I was looking around and I didn't have a clue which one to go for but I was seeing the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue everywhere and when I got an e-mail from Feel Unique saying there was money off all Bare Minerals products well I decided I might as well give it a go!

I also wanted another Foundation and I've seen so many good things about the L'Oreal True Match Foundation with people saying it's a dupe for more high end foundations that I decided to give that one a go as well and luckily for me it had a pale shade which is N1 which I was over the moon about! It's so nice to be able to find a drugstore foundation that's light enough for pale skin for a change.

Lastly I wanted to try out some more lip products and I'd been wanting to try out the Maybelline Color Dramas for months I actually wanted to get the Nude Perfection shade because I've seen so many people say that it's a dupe for Velvet Teddy and Velvet Teddy is my all time favourite shade but when I was ordering these it was out of stock so I decided to pick up two berry shades which were Keep It Classy and Berry Much.

I also picked up some MUA lipsticks to try out I picked up a nice bright Coral (Peachy Keen) because I've been wanting to use a coral lipstick for ages for the Summer but I wasn't sure if it would suit my skintone so I figured why not try out a £1 lipstick from MUA and see what happens. I also picked up a Bright Pink (Shade 3), a Bright Red (Scarlet Siren) and a Nude Shade (Fancy Fawn) which actually looks like a pretty darn good Velvet Teddy dupe!

When Zoella's new beauty range was released the first thing I really wanted to give a go was the Lip Balm from her collection so I picked that one up to try out as well.

What have you been picking up recently?

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara Review

Maybelline, Maybelline Mascara, Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara, Mascara, Maybelline Makeup
Maybelline, Maybelline Mascara, Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara, Mascara, Maybelline Makeup, Maybelline Lash Sensational Wand

I've had this Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara for a couple of weeks or so now but when I first tried it out I wasn't keen on it all, it tends to take me a while until I figure out if I like it or not but I instantly put this one back in the drawer and went back to using another Mascara that was my current favourite during that time (can't remember what it was though...think it was the Rimmel Lash Accelerator) but then I decided to try this one out again and I'm SO glad I did because this one has knocked every single drugstore mascara out the way and climbed straight to the top. I absolutely love this mascara, it's got a nice pastel pink packaging and I love the wand because it's got a slightly curled part which fits your lashes better so it covers them from your lashline all to the top. I didn't find that this mascara clumped at all and I do a couple of coats to really give them that fluttery look that this mascara gives them, I love how they look and they really have that false lash effect to them. It's a very black mascara which is perfect because you've got to love a super black mascara, it separates your lashes and leaves them looking defined, lengthened and full of volume, which is EVERYTHING I look for in a mascara. When I use this and when I don't use eyeliner on my waterline it really really opens my eyes up and they look so much better, normally I was the one who couldn't go anywhere without having eyeliner on my waterline but I haven't been using it at all lately, I just take a bit of the eyeshadow along the bottom and use a couple of coats of this on the top and bottom lashes and I really like how it makes my bottom lashes look as well, it really makes them stand out and define them as well as give them length. I've never noticed it clump or flake off throughout the day either, it's hands down my favourite mascara EVER!

MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation

MAC, Studio Sculpt Foundation, MAC Cosmetics, MAC Make Up, MAC Foundation, MAC Studio Sculpt, NC15, Pale Skin,
MAC, Studio Sculpt Foundation, MAC Cosmetics, MAC Make Up, MAC Foundation, MAC Studio Sculpt, NC15, Pale Skin,

I bought this MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation a couple of months back, I couldn't decide on wanting to try this one or just getting my trusty Studio Fix back but I opted to try a new one out and now I'm regretting that decision. I got this in the shade NC15 and I didn't think it was going to match my skin tone because I'm NW10 in the studio fix but I went for it anyway and to my surprise it does match my pale skintone perfectly which was definitely a bonus. It's a gel based foundation and I haven't used one before so it's more of a thicker consistency than what I was used too it also has an SPF of 15 in as well, which is good it's always nice to have an SPF in your everyday foundation! A little really goes a long way with this foundation you don't need much at all and it does have really really good coverage it's definitely medium-high and seriously buildable as it covered my redness and spots instantly and it made my skin look dewy and glowing however my main issue with this one is how shiny I start to look throughout the day. In the warmer months I really suffer with oily skin but even after putting this on and a powder literally within about 5 minutes it's already starting to go ridiculously shiny and sliding off my face already and you can noticeably see the patches where the foundation has gone slightly cakey and started to slide off which is such a disappointment because I had such high hopes for this one. I thought it was purely because it was a hot day so I had to keep adding more and more powder which just made my face feel so horrible and clogged up with make-up I ended up taking it off halfway through the day because I couldn't stand the feel of it anymore but I've even tried this foundation on a cooler day and I found it did exactly the same thing so this is a definite no go for me at the moment which is such a shame because I really did like the coverage from this one. I might crack this one out again in the Winter and see how it holds up then. What are your favourite foundations and powder for the Summer months? Let me now in the comments!

June Favourites

Maybelline, Sensational Mascara, Mascara, Velvet Teddy, MAC, MUA, Caramel Nougat, Iridescent Gold Highlighter,

There's a few bits I've been loving this month so I'm going to get straight to it! First up is the Maybelline Sensational Mascara. Now it took me about 2 weeks or so to actually really like this mascara, I always find that when I try out a different mascara I always hate it, when I first tried this one it a was a 50/50 love/hate relationship but now I've been using it for a while it's a love relationship. It lengthens my lashes and gives them a lot of volume and even curls them slightly but I won't say too much on this one because I have a review of it coming up soon.

Next up is my beloved MAC - Velvet Teddy lipstick, I had such a phase with wearing this one everyday when I got it a couple of months back but it slowly got pushed to the side as I started wearing more lip glosses because it was Spring/Summer but I got it back out this month and it's back to being my most worn lipstick this month. I absolutely love this shade I feel as though it's my perfect nude shade and I pair it with a lip liner from MUA which is another of my monthly favourites. It's in the shade Caramel Nougat and it matches Velvet Teddy spot on, it just gives my lips that more slightly full effect without being too much, I absolutely love wearing these two lip products together.

Last of my make up product favourites is a highlighter from MUA in the shade Iridescent Gold. I've been absolutely loving this highlighter over the past couple of months, it's super pigmented and stays on the top of my cheekbones all day, I absolutely love the glow it gives me and for just £3 it's definitely worth a try. I'll be doing a review of this one soon too.

For my non beauty favourites it's a TV show! The show I've been obsessed with this month is Switched At Birth. I'm currently on the second series and I was hooked from the first episode. I don't want to say too much about it but obviously the title says it all but you can read a bit more on it here if you'd like too!
